Manlift Error Codes: What Do They Mean and How to Resolve Them?
Manlifts play a crucial role among work machines that provide safe and efficient operation at heights. However, like all machinery, they can occasionally experience malfunctions. Correctly identifying and quickly resolving these errors is critical both for safety and to minimize downtime. In this article, we share the most common manlift error codes and their solutions.
1. System Start-Up and Communication Issues
01 – System Start-Up Error: Indicates a problem with the main control board. The solution is to replace the board.
02 – Communication Error: May be due to a disconnection or looseness in the communication cables. Check the cables; if the issue persists, the control box or control board should be replaced.
2. Selection and Switch Issues
03 – Invalid Mode Error: Check if the correct operation mode is selected and switch to the appropriate mode.
12 – Power Switch Issue: There may be jamming with the switch or cables. Inspect the wiring and ensure the switch moves freely.
3. Sensor Problems and Calibration Errors
18 – Pit Protection Warning: Ensure the pit protection device is closed and the limit switches are working properly.
31 – Pressure Sensor Error: Check sensor connections and confirm it is operating in the correct load detection mode.
32 – Tilt Sensor Error: Inspect the tilt sensor and its connections to verify the system is running in the correct mode.
35 – Invalid Data After Calibration: Carefully repeat the calibration steps.
38 – Missing Load Detection Calibration: Verify that sensors are functional and re-run the calibration process.
4. Joystick and Movement Controls
42 – Left Turn Button Pressed: Ensure the left turn button is not stuck. If it’s not pressed and the error remains, consider replacing the joystick or control unit.
43 – Right Turn Button Pressed: Check that the right turn button is released. If the problem persists, replace the joystick or control box.
46 – Joystick Trigger Pressed: Make sure the trigger is released; if the issue continues, the joystick may need replacement.
47 – Joystick Neutral Error: Ensure the joystick is in a vertical position and that software settings are correctly configured. If the issue remains unresolved, replace the joystick or control panel.
5. Solenoid Coil and Movement Mechanism Problems
52–57: These errors relate to solenoid coil issues with forward/reverse driving, platform lifting/lowering, and right/left rotation. First, check cable and terminal connections; if no fault is found, test the coils for open circuits or short circuits.
6. General Warnings and Other Issues
68 – Low Voltage Error: Check the battery’s voltage level and connections. Charge or replace the batteries if necessary.
80, 90, 99 – Load Capacity Warnings: Indicates the platform is approaching its maximum capacity; do not load further.
OL – Overload Warning: Immediately remove excess weight from the platform to return to a safe level.
LL – Excessive Tilt Warning: If the machine is on an incline, move it to a flat surface; also check sensor connections as there may be a fault with the tilt sensor.
